V1 release
First of all, thanks to all of early adopters of our technology. We’ve seen really beautiful integrations on various websites.
Today, we are proud to announce the V1 release of our service.
This is more than a stable release, we also added new features and made some big changes :
- We changed service name from Mapeed to Maptimize. This new name (Maptimize = Map + Optimize) describes better what our service provides.
- We added new features :
- Labels: from now you can set labels for each point and filter markers with them. You can use up to 8 labels. To demonstrate this, we’ve updated our CrunchPanorama demo based on CrunchBase. There are two labels: companies and financial organizations.
- HTML Content: you can also attach HTML to a point, which will by default be displayed in an info window by clicking on the corresponding marker. With this new feature, integration in real world applications can take only a few minutes.
- We propose new plans: to better fit your needs, we’ve added more plans, from 19 € to 149 € per month. Of course, you can contact us if you have special needs.
Don’t panic ! Everything will still work as usual if you are using Mapeed Beta version, but we strongly encourage you to upgrade to this new release.
This is just a beginning for Maptimize : we are already working on our next generation engine. It will be faster, more powerful and with more features. We’re also planning to distribute it as a “classic” software for those who prefer to install it locally instead of using our online service.

Public Beta Release of the Mapeed plugin
We are very proud to announce the availability of the Mapeed plugin, as a public beta release. The team has worked very hard since months to deliver this first service, congratulations !
From now on, you can enhance your Google Map with the Mapeed technology. We provide 2 plans:
- a “Basic” plan : for simple needs, it enables the display up to 5.000 markers on a single map. For free !
- a “Plus” plan : fot more advanced needs, you can display up to 50.000 markers on a single map withenhanced security, a sandbox environment and without any ad or logo (99€/month)
